Bionica Show Technical Rider

Full compliance with this technical rider is mandatory.

The local technical team responsible for the technical production of the event must contact the Bionica Show manager in advance to confirm full compliance with the rider or to agree on any possible adjustments.

A black stage floor and dark stage surroundings are preferred.

Performances Covered by These Requirements

The following technical requirements apply to:

Lighting Requirements

All lighting equipment must be installed, connected, tested and ready for programming at least 6 hours before the event begins.

The venue must be completely dark during the performance. If the venue has windows, they must be covered in advance. All house, service and stage lighting must be switched off.

The number of backlighting positions depends on the size of the stage. Each backlighting position must include:

Front Lighting

Side Lighting

Haze and Smoke

The intelligent lighting console must have at least 10 faders with Flash buttons.

Lighting programming and operation must be carried out by the lighting technician provided by the local production company in cooperation with a Bionica Show representative.

Control of all lighting equipment must be located in one place.

Stage and Sound

  1. The minimum stage size is 4 × 4 metres. This must be clear performance space without equipment, cables or other obstacles.
  2. Additional laser equipment is welcome.
  3. One or two stage sound monitors must be provided.
  4. The required audio tracks can be downloaded from the descriptions of the corresponding performances on the Bionica Show website. The track link is placed at the end of each description as a full stop.

LED Screen Content

Bionica Show does not provide ready-made video content for LED screens. The choice of visuals remains the responsibility of the event organiser or show director.

The main requirement is to avoid excessively bright screen content. Screens that are too bright have the same effect as bright house lighting and can significantly reduce the visual impact of the lasers and illuminated costumes.

Additional Requirements for Arctic

The following conditions are required for a successful performance of Arctic:

  1. The minimum stage size is 6 × 6 metres. A stage measuring 8 × 8 metres is preferred.
  2. At least 8 pairs of wash and spot fixtures must be provided. Some fixtures must be positioned for backlighting and others for front lighting.
  3. The entire performance area must also be illuminated from the front with ultraviolet lighting.
  4. Two strobe lights must be provided.
  5. Both low fog and regular haze or smoke must be available.

The following equipment and conditions are required for a successful performance of Oriental Shadows:

Hospitality Rider

Dressing Room Requirements

  1. A separate, bright and heated dressing room of at least 30 m² must be provided. It must be separated from other performers and event guests and must either be lockable or protected by security.
  2. The dressing room must contain a garment rail with 10 hangers, a table, a mirror and chairs for all company members.
  3. At least 3 European-style electrical outlets must be available for charging devices.
  4. Paper towels, tea, sugar, lemon, freshly brewed coffee and still water must be provided. Still water should be supplied at a rate of 1 litre per company member, or a water dispenser may be provided.
  5. Food must include:
    • steamed vegetables or sushi;
    • a large cheese platter and a selection of cold meats;
    • sliced white and brown bread;
    • fruit such as apples, oranges, bananas, grapes and other fruit selected by the organiser.
  6. The quantity of food must be calculated according to the number of company members, the event and the performances booked.
  7. Meals must be served in the dressing room rather than in a shared staff catering area.

Additional Touring Requirements

  1. Direct economy-class air travel must be provided. All proposed flights must be agreed with the Bionica Show manager in advance. Tickets may only be purchased after the selected flights have been approved.
  2. Any excess baggage charges must be covered by the organiser.
  3. Local transportation must be provided in a comfortable, air-conditioned 15-seat minibus with a sober professional driver. The vehicle must be reserved exclusively for Bionica Show performers.
  4. Accommodation must be provided in a hotel rated at least 4 stars and located within the host city. The hotel must provide 24-hour service, reliable electricity and water supply, and heating where required. The necessary number of single and double rooms must be confirmed with the Bionica Show manager for each trip.
  5. Three meals per day must be provided for every company member. Alternatively, a daily allowance may be paid according to the terms agreed with the Bionica Show manager.
