Lexus NX Show “Three Sisters”

On October 3, 2014, the Bionica Theatre took part in the spectacular Lexus NX Show “Three Sisters,” presented by Lexus.

The production featured one of Bionica’s most popular performances, “Butterflies”, expanded especially for the occasion from three dancers to ten. A new conceptual staging brought together the entire collection of butterfly costumes available to the company — black, white, and violet.

The Lexus NX Show “Three Sisters” was directed by Haik Simonyan, co-founder and artistic director of the Bionica Show.

Speaking to RBC Style, Haik Simonyan described the production:

“The show is interactive, with the action unfolding both onstage and throughout the auditorium. It incorporates an extraordinary range of technical elements, including video projections mapped onto individual pieces of scenery. The car itself became a source of inspiration, giving us the energy and creative freedom to develop new ideas and theatrical devices. We associated the desire to possess the car with the dream of an elusive woman.”

The Lexus NX Show “Three Sisters” was Russia’s first theatrical production of its kind — a new format in which innovation and the aesthetics of design were expressed through a synthesis of experimental technology and theatrical art.

Created for a thoughtful and discerning audience, the show was aimed at those who do not merely follow trends, but create them.
